204 extrajudicial killings in six months: ASK

At least 204 people were killed in extrajudicial methods by law enforcement agencies in the first six months of 2019, according to the Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK).
A report of the human rights organisation revealed on Monday said that 59 people were killed in crossfires with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), 92 with police, 12 with the Detective Branch of police, and and 28 with Border Guard Bangladesh.
One person was killed in crossfires with the joint forces and the Coast Guard each; two were killed in police torture, two were shot dead by police and three by the BGB, while one person committed suicide in police custody. Two dead bodies were recovered with bullet wounds and one died in RAB custody, said the ASK report.
