4 Ansarullah Bangla members remanded
The court also rejected the bail pleas filed by the four arrestees
A Dhaka court on Monday placed four members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team on a four-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmuda Akter passed the order when investigation officer of the case Ripon Kumar Mandal produced them before the court with a 10-day remand plea, court police's General Recording Officer Nurul Islam told The Business Standard.
The court also rejected the bail pleas filed by the four arrestees.
The remanded persons are: Masum Mia, Abu Bakar Siddique alias Emran, Rakibul Hasan alias Siam, Abdullah Al Roman alias Manirul Islam, who is also known as Faruk Ahmed.
Earlier on Saturday night, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive detained four members of Ansarullah Bangla Team from the capital's Nikunjo area.
Members of the elite force also seized leaflets and books on Jihadi activities from their possession. RAB then handed over the detainees to the Khilket police station.
Police later filed a case against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
