Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered 18 rocket launchers from the Saatchhari national park in Habiganj.
The BGB confirmed the recovery of the ammunition at a press conference held on Wednesday.
Around 4pm on Tuesday, a special BGB team entered the deep forest areas of Saatchhari National Park in Chunarghat Upazila and recovered the rocket launchers, buried underground and wrapped in polythene, a kilometer from the Bangladesh-India border.
During the press conference, 55-BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) SNM Samiunnabi Chowdhury said, "The make model and country of origin of the ammunition could not be determined at this moment."
"No one was arrested during the operation," added Lt Col. Samiunnabi.
