IS claims responsibility for attack on Chattogram police box
Two policemen and a kid were injured in the blast
Middle-East-based militant organisation Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for Friday's bomb attack on a police box in Chattogram, said terrorism watchdog SITE Intelligence Group.
Two policemen and a kid were injured in the blast in Sholoshohor area of the port city at 8:30pm.
Tight security measures have been taken in all police establishments including police boxes and stations in Chattogram after the blast.
The evidences have been sent to Dhaka for further investigation, Chattogram Metropolitan Police's Additional Commissioner Amena Begum said.
