Eric files general diary seeking security

Eric Ershad, the son of late president Hussain Muhammad Ershad, on Monday filed a general diary with the Gulshan police station seeking security for him.
In the general diary, Eric brought an allegation of mental and physical torture against his paternal uncle GM Quader and his associates.
According to the diary, Eric has been tortured mentally and physically since the death of his father.

"Due to torture inflicted by my uncle and his associates upon me, I brought my mother Bidisha Ershad to the president park residence on November 14. As an adult, I have the full rights to express my opinion. So, I decided my mother should stay with me in the house," said police official Rafiqul Islam quoting the general diary.
"Eric also sought security and necessary steps from police to save his mother Bidisha Ershad," Rafiq, an assistant commissioner of the Dhaka metropolitan Police's Gulshan Zone, added.
