Govt hopeful dialogue at World Economic Forum will build int'l investors' confidence: CA Press Wing

The interim government is hopeful that a special dialogue on Bangladesh, slated to take place at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025, will build confidence among international investors regarding foreign investments, the Chief Adviser's Press Wing said today (19 January).
During a press conference held at 7:30pm at the Foreign Service Academy, the press wing announced that the separate dialogue on Bangladesh will be held at a session of the WEF, which will take place at Davos-Klosters, Switzerland on 20-24 January.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Press Secretary to the chief adviser Abul Kalam Azad Majumder termed the dialogue a rare opportunity.
He said Bangladesh would be presented as a regional hub and the vast potential for investment in the country would be highlighted at the forum.
The deputy press secretary also informed that Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus would travel to Switzerland for a four-day visit on Monday (20 January) to attend the conference.
Special Envoy to the chief adviser Lutfey Siddiqui will accompany him.
In addition to attending the conference, the chief adviser will hold bilateral meetings in Davos with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Belgian King Philippe, and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
The chief adviser will also meet with several heads of organisations, CEOs, chairpersons, and entrepreneurs, including Amnesty International's Secretary General Agnès Callamard.
Additionally, interviews with several international media outlets are scheduled for him, the press wing said.
After all formal engagements, the chief adviser is expected to depart from Davos for Dhaka on 24 January.
