Police rescue kidnapping victim in Hatirjheel, arrest 3 suspects
Hatirjheel police successfully rescued Maksud Parvez, who was abducted in the area, and arrested three suspects involved in the kidnapping.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Maruf Hossain, Md Faisal, and Md Farhad Hossain.
The arrests were made on Wednesday (2 October) afternoon during a police operation on Ulan Matbor Bari Road in Hatirjheel.

Maksud Parvez was abducted by a group of criminals on 1 October, while he was on Ulan Matbor Bari Road. The kidnappers held him for ransom, taking his mobile phone and Tk14,500 in cash. Upon receiving the report of the abduction, Hatirjheel Police immediately launched an operation, rescuing Maksud after the kidnappers fled the scene.
Following the rescue, the kidnappers demanded Tk50,000 from Maksud in exchange for returning his phone and wallet. Maksud alerted the police, who swiftly carried out a second operation, resulting in the arrest of the three suspects.
Legal proceedings are currently underway at Hatirjheel Police Station.
