RAB files case against Shahabuddin Hospital's MD
Five anonymous people have been accused in the case
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday filed a case against the managing director and two other staffs of Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital over alleged Covid-19 testing scam.
"The RAB have filed a case against Faisal Al Islam, the managing director, Dr Md Abul Hasnat, an assistant director, and Shariz Kabir Saad, an inventory officer," SM Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station, has confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
Five anonymous people have been accused in the case, he added.
"We are trying to arrest Faisal Al Islam. We hope we will be able to arrest him soon," said Lt Col Ashik Billah, director media wing, RAB.
On Sunday, a team of RAB conducted a drive in Shahabuddin Hospital and seized expired medicines and surgical equipment from the spot.
