RAB busts counterfeit ring in Dhaka, 2 arrested
They seized counterfeit currency worth Tk5 crore during the raid
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday busted a counterfeit ring and arrested two of its members from Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The arrestees are Shah Alam and Saiful Islam.
While briefing the media, RAB Additional Deputy Inspector General Kaiymuzzaman said, "A team of the RAB conducted the drive at a two-room flat in a residential building of Dhanmondi 7/A in the morning.

"They seized counterfeit currency worth Tk5 crore. Printing equipment including eight printers were also seized from their possession," he added.
The RAB official also said that during the primary interrogation, the arrestees said that they were involved with the gang from 2000.
He added that they have other members.
"They make counterfeit notes throughout the year. After getting more information, we will conduct raid against other members of the gang."
