A 19-year-old youth, who was stabbed last night allegedly by members of a teen gang in the capital's Hazaribagh, has succumbed to his injuries this morning (15 November).
The deceased, identified as Shahadat Hossain Akbor, breathed his last at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while undergoing treatment.
Md Faruk, officer-in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, confirmed the incident to The Business Standard today, stating that Shahadat's body had been sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
Shahadat lived with his family in the Hazaribagh area, said the OC.
According to Afzal Hossain, the victim's father, the incident occurred near Hazaribagh Park.
