Ctg Customs to auction 73 lots of products including vehicles
For the auction, the sale of catalogues and tenders started on 4 October and will continue till Wednesday
Chattogram Customs House (CCH) will auction 73 lots of goods, including Japanese Toyota brand cars, on 16 October.
The authorities concerned started selling catalogues and tenders on 4 October.
Bidders can collect those from the auction wing of the CCH office, office of KM Corporation and Customs' Motijheel divisional office until Wednesday by paying a fee. KM Corporation organises government auctions.
The tenders will have to be submitted in tender box kept at the CCH Revenue Officer (administration), Chattogram Deputy Commissioner's offices, Office of the Commissionerate of Customs Excise and VAT (Dhaka South) and IEDEB Bhaban in Dhaka's Kakrail between 9 am and 2 pm on 12 and 13 October.
Tender boxes will be opened at 2:30pm on 16 October in the presence of bidders. Then, the auction committee will approve the sale of the products in favour of the highest bidder.
To participate in the auction, an organisaiton will require copies of updated trade licence, VAT registration certificate, and TIN certificate while for individuals, a copy of national identity card and updated copy of TIN certificate will be required.
Chattogram Customs House Auction Wing Deputy Commissioner Santosh Saren told TBS, "We hold auctions of unclaimed goods lying for a long time at Chattogram Port on a regular basis. The 16-October auction includes several items, including Toyota cars, which have been auctioned several times before."
