DB detains ex-MP Sultan Mohammad Monsur from airport
Sultan was detained at the immigration when he returned home from abroad
The detective branch of police detained former lawmaker Sultan Mohammad Monsur from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for interrogation today (30 September).
"Sultan was detained at the immigration when he returned home from abroad," said Rezaul Karim Mallick, additional commissioner of the detective branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
"We will interrogate him. He was living in the US, the UK and Canada for a long time," Rezaul added.
Monsur was a former vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu). In the general elections of 2018, he was elected as a member of parliament from Moulvibazar-2 constituency.
