'Driver Malek personally responsible for alleged corruptions'
The directorate claimed no purchase, appointment, posting, or promotion was made under it since its inception in November 2019
Abdul Malek, who was recently arrested for illegal accumulation of assets, is personally responsible for the alleged corruption, the Directorate of Health Education said on Wednesday.
In a press release, it clarified its position regarding its driver Malek following widespread criticism over how a driver had accumulated such huge wealth.
The directorate claimed that no purchase, appointment, posting, or promotion was made under it since its inception in November 2019 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
"So, Malek did not get involved in the alleged corruption during his job at the directorate," the release further said.
