Dhaka to witness more rain this weekend
The Meteorological Office says that rain may abate starting Saturday.
Active monsoon over Bangladesh, particularly stronger over the North Bay, will cause more rain this weekend, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The low pressure over Gangetic West Bengal and the adjoining Northwestern part of Bangladesh now lies over the Northwestern part of Bangladesh and adjoining area.
Monsoon trough runs through India's East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, center of the low to Assam. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
In the 24 hours till 6am today, 65mm of rain was recorded in Dhaka.
The highest rainfall in the country was recorded at 378mm in Mymensingh in the last 24 hours.

After incessant rain in the capital on Thursday, there arose waterlogging on various city roads, leading to heavy traffic congestion. There were also hours of load-shedding at night.
