TV show director Rinku arrested from Gulshan

Police arrested film director Rafat Mozumder Rinku in connection with a murder case yesterday (23 September).
Rinku, who is also a former vice-president of Bangladesh Chhatra League Dhaka city north unit, was detained from the Gulshan area last night, said Touhid Alam, officer-in-charge of the Gulshan police station.
He has been arrested in a murder case filed with the police station over the death of Naimur Rahman, a 22-year-old student of Gulshan Degree College, during the July uprising.
Naimur was fatally shot on 19 July 19 during the nationwide Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, according to the case statement seen by The Business Standard.
His father Khalilur Rahman lodged a case over the killing on 12 September, accusing 64 identified individuals, including Rinku and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with 400 to 500 unidentified people.
Meanwhile, people from the entertainment industry have expressed their shock upon hearing the news of Rinku's detention. Figures such as Ashfaque Nipun have voiced their opinions against his arrest on social media.
