2 killed in clash over old hostilities in Sirajganj
At least 10 more people were injured in the clash.
Two people were killed in a clash over old hostilities at Shahjadpur in Sirajganj on Tuesday. At least 10 more were injured during the clash.
The deceased were identified as Ripon and Ashraful, both of whom hailed from Gutibari village. Six of the injured people were admitted to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
Ataur Rahman, officer in charge of Shahjadpur Police Station said, Baharam gang and Nazim gang of Gutibari village had ongoing conflict between them for a long time. The clash today was a result of that conflict.
"Two got killed in the clash. The injured people were admitted to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital," he said.
Dr Faisal of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital confirmed this. He said, "One of the injured people is in critical condition."
