DMP files 838 cases, fines Tk37.94 lakh for traffic violations
According to a DMP press release issued today, the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realised the fines on 11 October through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.
As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 838 cases and realised Tk37,94,500 as fine in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
According to a DMP press release issued today, the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realised the fines on 11 October through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.
During the drive, a total of 157 vehicles were dumped and 82 other motor vehicles towed, the release added.
The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets.
