DMP fines Tk 26.78 lakh for traffic rules violation
During the drive, a total of 167 vehicles were impounded and 55 others were towed
Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 627 cases and realised Tk26,78,000 as fines in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
The cases were filed and fines imposed on 5 October, a DMP release said today.
During the drive, a total of 167 vehicles were impounded and 55 others were towed. The DMP release further said these drives will continue to bring discipline to Dhaka's streets.
