DMP imposes fines worth Tk35.14 lakh for traffic rules violation in single day

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 857 cases and imposed Tk3,514,625 as fines in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
The cases were filed and fines were imposed yesterday (7 October), Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), shared the information in a media release here today.
During the drive, a total of 214 vehicles were impounded and 86 others were towed.

The DMP information further said these drives will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
