DMP issues traffic guidelines for Shaheed Minar-centric events on 31 Dec
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic guidelines for vehicles attending Central Shaheed Minar-centric events on 31 December.
The public is urged to follow the instructions to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion in the city, said Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of dmp, in a media release today.
1. Vehicles entering via Gabtoli will park at Manik Mia Avenue and the old Trade Fair ground in Agargaon.
2. Vehicles entering via Sayedabad and Jatrabari will park at the Dhaka University playground and within the campus area.

3. Vehicles entering via Abdullahpur will park in the 300 feet area.
The DMP sought full cooperation of all attendees to help maintain traffic order and minimise congestion in Dhaka during the event.
