Dr Kaikaus reappointed principal secretary of PM

Prime Minister's Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus has been reappointed for two more years, postponing his post-retirement leave (PRL) and related facilities.
Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday issued an order appointing him on condition that his post-retirement leave (PRL) and related leave be suspended.
Kaikaus' contractual appointment, who was due to retire at the end of this month, will be effective from January 1, or from his start date.
Ahmed Kaikaus was appointed as the principal secretary to the PM on 29 December last year. Prior to that, he was senior secretary of Power Division.
Meanwhile, the government reappointed Ali Noor as Secretary of Health Education and Family Planning Division, postponing his post-retirement leave (PRL) and related facilities.
Five promoted to secretaries
On Thursday, the government promoted five additional secretaries to the rank of secretary, according to a gazette of the Ministry of Public Administration.
Ramendra Nath Biswas, additional secretary to the Finance Division, has been made secretary to the Planning Commission, while Mostafa Kamal, additional secretary to the Health Services Division, was made the Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Reform Board.
Also, Mokammel Hossain, additional secretary to Public Administration Ministry, has been appointed as secretary to the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, while Mustafizur Rahman, Divisional Commissioner (additional secretary) of Dhaka Division was made secretary to the Land Ministry.
