DSCC mayor urges residents to clean sacrificial waste properly
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon on Sunday urged city residents to clean the waste of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Adha properly.
He also urged citizens to sacrifice their animals at specific places and to clean their houses and premises after sacrificing the animals.
The DSCC mayor made the request while sharing views with the khatibs and Imams of different mosques at Nagar Bhaban in the capital.
On dengue, the mayor once again said the dengue situation in the country will be brought under control by September.
“Though experts feared that the existing dengue situation would continue till October, we will bring the situation under control by September. We have increased manpower at the field level besides other initiatives to control the situation,” Khokon said.
Mayor Khokon said city corporation staff members are visiting from door to door and destroying the larvae of Aedes mosquitoes, which are responsible for the dengue fever.
