DSCC mobile court to remove construction materials from streets starting Tuesday
Construction materials on streets create traffic jams and obstruct the usual movement of people
The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will conduct a mobile court drive from 1 December to remove construction materials stored on streets in areas under its jurisdiction.
DSCC Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed will conduct the mobile court drive from Tuesday until 20 December – excluding Friday-Saturday and holidays – according to a press release signed by DSCC Chief Estate Officer Rasel Sabrin on Monday afternoon.
"People in the areas under the DSCC illegally store construction materials on the streets – which creates traffic jams and obstructs the usual movement of people," he said in the release.
"Therefore, we will initially conduct this campaign from 1 December to 20 December with the aim of implementing the directives of the High Court on the instructions of the DSCC mayor," he added.
"Actions will be taken against the owners of the construction materials and illegally stored materials on the road through jail-fines and spot auctions," added the chief estate officer of the DSCC.
