Dutch Queen Maxima arrives Dhaka on Wednesday
The queen is scheduled to meet PM Sheikh Hasina and BB governor Fazle Kabir
Dutch Queen Maxima (Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti) is set to arrive in Dhaka on a four-day official visit on Wednesday at the invitation of the Bangladesh government.
Queen Maxima has been working as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009. She is also a honourary patron of the G-20 Global Partnership.
The Dutch queen will arrive at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by an Emirates flight at 5:20pm on Wednesday, said sources.
She is visiting Bangladesh to see different activities of inclusive finance. She will also meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Bank governor Fazle Kabir.
Queen Maxima made an earlier visit in 2015 for the same purpose. She will conclude her visit on July 12.
