HSBC’s International Education services ready to support Bangladeshi students

It is important for parents to enable their children to reach their full potential, and with that in mind, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) has designed a range of services and offerings that specifically meet the needs of Bangladeshi students studying overseas.

Speakers made these remarks at a webinar titled "Overseas Education in the New Normal," hosted by HSBC on Friday while discussing the opportunities available to prospective students interested in completing their higher education in the United Kingdom (UK) and/or Australia.
HSBC organised the event to address the changed landscape of international education post the Covid-19 pandemic, and also the impact it has had on the higher education ecosystem.
Two leading universities from key education destinations for Bangladeshi students were present and elaborated on the context. The panelists also elaborated on the opportunities of higher education in the UK and Australia.
Additionally, the webinar explored the avenues of HSBC's partnerships and services that make the journey comfortable right from the very beginning of planning for higher education to the time the student lands in the destination, and continues till the very end.

From the initial research requirements of understanding which destination would suit the needs of students, to preparing a student file and facilitating payments for opening an overseas account within top education destinations – HSBC provides all the essential banking services throughout the entire process.
The discussants present at the virtual session were David Hawkins, founder of The University Guys; Justin Edwards, representative from The Australian National University; and Vishnu Vankayala, representative from the University of Leicester.
Md Mahbub ur Rahman, chief executive officer at the HSBC Bangladesh and Ahmed Saiful Islam, country head of Wealth and Personal Banking were also present along with: customers, their university-going children, education partners, and other officials from the bank.
