IUBAT employees donate one day's salary to support flood-affected people
Demonstrating a strong commitment to humanitarian efforts, the faculty members and officers of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), the country's first private university, have pledged to donate one day's salary to aid those affected by the recent floods in Bangladesh.
This generous initiative was decided during a meeting held on August 24, 2024, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT Prof Dr Abdur Rab. The decision underscores the university's deep-rooted values of compassion and social responsibility.
A notification issued by the Public Relations Department of IUBAT confirmed this act of solidarity, emphasising that the IUBAT community has always been dedicated to the cause of humanity. The faculty and staff expressed their pride in being able to contribute to the nation during this challenging time.
Prominent academician Professor Dr M Alimullah Miyan established IUBAT as the country's first private university in 1991, which has been making significant contributions to human resource development through higher education. The activities of this university are being conducted in its own permanent and green campus in a pleasant environment in Sector. 10, Uttara model town, Dhaka.
