JU admission test: No freedom fighters' grandchildren quota
Jahangirnagar University (JU)'s undergraduate admission test for the 2024-25 academic year will be held from 9-19 February.
The university administration has decided to cancel the quota for freedom fighters' grandchildren in this year's admissions.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Central Admission Test Committee today (5 December), said Syed Ali Reza, the committee's member secretary.
Ali Reza said a decision will be taken later on other quotas.
He also said the tests will be held in shift-mode as before. This time, instead of six units, the exam will be conducted in ten units.
Regarding the unit-based seats and exam fees, he said the decisions of today's meeting will be sent to the technical committee. Later, the details will be announced through a notification.
