PEC, Ebtedayee exams begin tomorrow
A total of 2,903,638 students are appearing PEC and Ebtedayee examinations at 7,466 centres across the country.
The Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee Terminal Examinations 2019 will begin tomorrow.
The examinations will start at 10:30am and end at 1:00pm till November 24, said Primary and Mass Education Ministry sources, adding students with special needs will get extra 30 minutes to finish the paper.
A total of 2,903,638 students are appearing PEC and Ebtedayee examinations at 7,466 centres across the country.
As many as 25,53,267 students including 11,81,300 boys, and 13,71,967 girls will appear the exams while 3,50,371 students 1,87,082 boys and 1,66,281 girls will appear Ebtedayee Terminal Examinations.
In addition, 615 students will take part in the examinations from eight other countries worldwide.
The ministry has taken all necessary steps for holding examinations in a peaceful manner all over the country especially in exam centres at Barishal, Chattogram, and Khulna, which were damaged during cyclone Bulbul.
"We have asked authorities to provide books in affected areas so that students can take proper preparation for the exams," State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain told The Business Standard.
