The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida) is set to host an international investment conference in Dhaka mid-April to attract both local and foreign investments.
There are ongoing discussions about whether Elon Musk will participate in the event.
Talking to The Business Standard tonight (25 December), Bida Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun dismissed rumours of Elon Musk attending the conference.
"It's a rumor. There is no official confirmation, and I am not aware of any such conversation," he said.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has seen significant growth in the markets of his companies and is currently ranked as the richest person in the world.
SpaceX, the space transportation company founded by American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk, provides internet services to Starlink. Starlink, a satellite internet provider, currently offers broadband connections in over 60 countries.
