Police detained former agriculture minister Md Abdus Shahid from Uttara in the capital early today (30 October).
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DC-media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter.
"A team of Uttara West Police Station detained Abdus Shahid. There are multiple cases against him. The decision to show Shahid arrested in a case is yet to be reached," Talebur said.
