Fog forces 2 international flights to land in Ctg
Two flights of Muscat and Abu Dhabi on Friday landed at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport after failing to land at Dhaka and Sylhet airports due to dense fog.
At 7.25am on Friday (January 29), a US Bangla Boeing 737 flight carrying 136 passengers from Muscat failed to land in Dhaka and later landed at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 7:35 am with 262 passengers from Dubai landed in the same airport as it could not land in Osmani International Airport of Sylhet.
Shah Amanat Airport Manager Wing Commander, Farhad Hossain Khan said the flight from Sylhet returned to its destinations at 8.50am and the Dhaka-bound flight took off at 9.05am after the fog cleared at the two airports.
He added, "Due to fog, three domestic flights of US Bangla, NovoAir and Bangladesh Biman on the Dhaka-Chattogram route were delayed for 1 hour and 30 minutes."
