Former health minister Nasim's condition critical
Nasim underwent an urgent brain surgery at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital yesterday
Former health minister Mohammed Nasim is in critical condition and is currently in ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital at Shyamoli in the capital.
Nasim underwent an urgent brain surgery at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital yesterday.
Dr Raziul Haque told The Business Standard on Saturday that, "His blood pressure is unstable. Drugs are needed to maintain BP. His condition is critical now."
"He is on ventilation since the operation and has been given sleeping pills. He may try to regain consciousness tomorrow by gradually reducing the medication. However, if BP is unstable, we will try that later," he added.
On June 1, Nasim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, including fever and cold.
He later tested positive for Covid-19 and was rushed into surgery on Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
