Freelancer commits suicide in Rajshahi after writing about hardship on Facebook

Police in Rajshahi on Tuesday recovered a body of a freelancer who allegedly hanged himself to death after writing a Facebook status about his debt and hardship.
Nibaran Chandra Barman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalia police station, said the deceased – Anwarul Islam Tutul, 35 – committed suicide after 3 am on Monday.
On information, police recovered his body around 11 am.
Tutul before committing suicide wrote a heartfelt goodbye status around 11:30 pm on Sunday, in which he described his hardship.
He wrote on his wall about health issues that hindered his ability to work. He said his family has been in dire straits for the past three months as he could not find work.
Tutul also wrote about an IT institution that reportedly owed him Tk17 lakh.
Police sent the body of the deceased to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
