Govt has started to formulate 8th Five-Year Plan: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said the government has started working to formulate the 8th Five-Year Plan for the future.
"We are now implementing the seventh Five-Year Plan in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," said the Prime Minister.
She told this while inaugurating the 23rd national convention of the Diploma Engineer Conference at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (IDEB) and the international conference of the "Skills Readiness for Achieving SDGs and Adopting IR 4.0" this morning.

"Moreover we are also making plans for 2021-2041 Bangladesh," she said.
The premier said the government has been stressing on vocational education along with technology for creating skilled workforce.
She said the government is working towards sustainable development.
The IDEB in association with the Education Ministry organised the conference at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
