The government will strictly handle anyone attempting to create unrest, Land Adviser A F Hassan Ariff said today.
"The interim government is pledge-bound to handle everything with responsibility. So, any law and order situation will be controlled strictly," he said during a meeting with families of martyrs and leaders of the July-August mass uprising at the circuit house in Chattogram.
National unity is needed to take the country forward, he said, adding that the fascists are out to create chaos in the country.
Addressing the programme as special guest adviser for industries Adilur Rahman Khan said, "There is no place for conspirators in Bangladesh."
"Vested quarters are trying to destabilize the country, which would not be happened under any circumstances," he said.
The government is working with the families of the martyrs and the injured to take forward the work of reforming Bangladesh and arrange a free and fair election, he said.
Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Farida Khanam was in the chair while City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, local political leaders and senior government officials were present.
