Green Olive Restaurant was fined Tk 3 lakh for selling adulterated foods and preparing those in an unhygienic environment
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) fined Green Olive Restaurant Tk 3 lakh for preparing foods in an unhygienic environment, using poor quality oil and textile dyes for colouring foods.
A mobile court, led by BSFA executive magistrate Pankaj Debnath, on Tuesday (Nov 12) fined the restaurant located at Green Road in Dhaka.
"During the drive, we found that the kitchen of the restaurant was very filthy and unhygienic. They kept food items uncovered, preserved cooked food items and raw meat in the same refrigerator, a potential source of microbial contamination, "Pankaj Debnath said.
The court warned the restaurant for improving its environment.
