Seven more people died from dengue in the last 24 hours till this morning (28 November).
With the latest casualties, the number of deaths from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh now stands at 482 this year, according to data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 90,440 dengue cases have been reported since 1 January.
Among the recent fatalities, one was reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation, 2 in the Dhaka North City Corporation, 2 in the Dhaka Division (outside of the city corporation), and each one in the Barishal and Khulna divisions.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 837 dengue-infected people were admitted to different hospitals in the country.
Last year, 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.
The DGHS recorded 321,179 dengue cases and 3, 18,749 recoveries last year.
