Hefazat lodges complaint against Hasina, 44 others at ICT over attack on 2013 rally
The complaint also includes the names of former police chief Benazir Ahmed and former army chief Aziz Ahmed
Hefazat-e-Islami Bangladesh has lodged a complaint at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 44 others in connection with the attacks and alleged mass killings at the organisation's rally in Dhaka's Motijheel on 5 May, 2013.
Hefazat leader Junaid Al Habib submitted the complaint to the ICT chief prosecutor today (26 November).
The complaint also includes the names of former police chief Benazir Ahmed and former army chief Aziz Ahmed.
Other named in the complaint are Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former minister and Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, former Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud, former MP Haji Selim, former PM's adviser Salman F Rahman, former Narayanganj MP Shamim Osman, former PM's security affairs adviser Tarique Ahmed Siddique.
Earlier, another complaint was lodged at the tribunal on behalf of Hefazat leader Mufti Harun Izhar.
