Holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune and forgiveness, will be observed across the country tonight (Thursday night).
Islamic Foundation on Wednesday has urged the country's people, including ulema-mashayekhs to offer special prayers staying home on the night of Shab-e-Barat to get rid of the global pandemic coronavirus and not to visit graveyards and shrines on the occasion.
The Muslim devotees will offer special prayers, recite from the Holy Quran, hold milad, zikr and other religious rituals seeking divine blessings for the wellbeing of mankind.
They will pass the whole night offering prayers.
Bangladesh on Wednesday confirmed 54 new cases and three deaths from coronavirus. The country has so far recorded 218 cases and 20 deaths.
