Home ministry approves arrest of 4 Addl SPs
The police officers are Addl SP (promoted) Shaheen Shah, Addl SP (promoted) Hasan Arafat, Addl SP Jewel Rana (promoted), and Addl SP Md Rafiqul Islam
The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the arrest of four additional superintendents of police (Addl SP) named in the cases.
In an order signed by Abu Sayed, deputy secretary of the Public Security Division of the ministry, granted the permission to authorities concerned today (17 October).
The police officers are Addl SP (promoted) Shaheen Shah, Addl SP (promoted) Hasan Arafat, Addl SP Jewel Rana (promoted), and Addl SP Md Rafiqul Islam.

Earlier, similar permission was granted to arrest 26 police officers in three phases.
A source from the DB confirmed The Business Standard that Shaheen Shah has been in DB custody since 16 October.
Shaheen Shah Masud and Hasan Arafat had been working in the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for a long time.
Jewel Rana was working in the Diplomatic Security Division, and Rafiqul Islam was working in the Gulshan Division of DMP.
