Indira promises to fight violence against women and children
Her ministry will mobilize different social and cultural organizations against woman and children's oppression, she said
In the wake of rape of women and children, Fazilatunnesa Indira, newly-inducted state minister for women and children's affairs, made a promise to take strong actions, on Sunday.
"We want to put the brakes on rape and oppression of women and children," Fazilatunnesa told the journalists on her first day at office.
Her ministry will mobilize different social and cultural organizations against woman and children's oppression, she said.

To stop violence against women and children, the state minister also talked about placing the Women and Children Repression Act in the parliament for amendment.
Imran Ahmad, the current state minister for expatriates' welfare and overseas employment, was elevated to the rank of a minister on the same day Fazilatunnesa was made the state minister – on 11 July. Imran and Fazilatunnesa took the oath of office on Saturday.
