International Plastics Fair 2025 begins in Dhaka
The four-day International Plastics Fair 2025 commenced today (12 February) at the Bashundhara International Convention City (ICCB) in Dhaka.
Organised jointly by the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co Ltd, this is the 17th edition of the annual fair.
Commerce Adviser Sk Bashiruddin formally inaugurated the event at noon, with participation from local and foreign business representatives, FBCCI leaders, industrialists, and dignitaries from various chambers and associations.
According to the organisers, the fair serves as a key platform for international manufacturers, buyers, and decision-makers in the plastics, printing, and packaging industries.
It also provides opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange.
Organisers noted that the International Plastics Fair has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in Southeast Asia.
With over 800 stalls and more than 390 leading brands from 18 countries, IPF 2025 is the largest plastics industry exhibition in Bangladesh to date.
Visitors will have access to a wide range of exhibits, including plastic processing technologies, high-tech printing and packaging solutions, raw materials, and quality testing equipment.
The expo features participation from leading companies in China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, the UK, and other countries, reflecting Bangladesh's expanding role in the global market.
