Internet services likely to face disruption for 3 hours on Monday
Maintenance will be carried out between 3:00am and 5:59am on Monday
Internet services across Bangladesh will likely experience a temporary disruption for three hours on the night of Monday (2 December) due to maintenance work on the SEA-ME-WE 4 submarine cable system, the country's first such system based in Cox's Bazar.
In a press release issued by Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) on 28 November announced that maintenance will be carried out between 3:00am and 5:59am on Monday.
Maintenance activities have been undertaken by the consortium to address cable faults near the Chennai Landing Station in India and the Tuas Landing Station in Singapore, the release read.
"During this time, internet services routed through Cox's Bazar to Chennai and those connected via the SEA-ME-WE 4 Singapore route will face temporary disruptions," it added.
