Japanese Ambassador meets Chief Adviser Dr Yunus
Earlier, Japan strongly hoped that through a peaceful and democratic political transition, Bangladesh will keep advancing on a path towards stable development.
Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Iwama Kiminori today (21 August) met interim government Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at State Guesthouse Jamuna in Dhaka and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Adviser Ali Imam Majumder, Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lamiya Morshed and Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam were present at the meeting, among others.

Under the "Strategic Partnership" enshrined between the two countries, Japan said it will continue its support for Bangladesh's development and prosperity, standing side by side with the transition process to be led by Chief Advisor Dr Yunus.
