Japanese navy ships arrive on goodwill visit to Chattogram

Two ships of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force - JS Bungo and JS Takashima - arrived at Chattogram Port on Sunday on a three-day goodwill visit. Chattogram naval area Chief Staff Officer Syed Helal Hossain welcomed the commanders of the ships with by flowers.
"This goodwill visit will strengthen the existing friendship between Bangladesh and Japan," says Bangladesh Navy in a press release.

The commanders of the ships and officials of Japanese embassy in Bangladesh will call on Chattogram City Corporation mayor, Chattogram naval area commander, BN Fleet commander and port chairman during the visit.
Besides, the visiting Japanese navy officials will visit BNS Somudra Joy, Bangladesh Naval Academy, School of Maritime Warfare and Tactics, BNS Shaheed Moazzem base, a special school ran by the Bangladesh Navy and tourist spots of the port city.
Officers and sailors from Bangladesh Navy will also visit JS Bungo and JS Takashima.
A passage exercise will be conducted with Bangladesh Navy ships when the ships sail out from Chattogram on October 8 (Tuesday).
