JL leader murder: 2 Rohingyas killed in ‘gunfight’
Three police officers were also injured in the incident, said OC
Two Rohingya men, accused in Jubo League leader Faruk murder case, were killed in a reported gunfight with police in Teknaf today.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Karim, 24, son of Jamir Ahmed, and Nesar Ahmed, 27, son of Sayeed Hossain from Nayapara Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar.
Prodeep Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station, said police conducted a drive in Jadimura early in the morning after receiving a tip-off that some accused had taken position there.

"Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the miscreants fired at police, triggering a gunfight. Police arrested bullet-hit Abdul Karim and Nesar Ahmed, and seized two firearms with seven rounds of bullets from the spot," he said.
The duo was taken to Teknaf Upazila Health Complex. The on-duty doctor of the health complex referred them to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
The bodies were kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Three police officers were also injured in the incident, said OC Prodeep.
Jubo League leader Faruk, 30, was allegedly shot dead by a group of Rohingyas in Jadimura on August 22.
Since then, five men, allegedly involved in the murder, have been killed in reported shootouts.
More than 1.1 million Rohingyas took shelter in Bangladesh after fleeing from Myanmar's Rakhine state.
The Rohingyas have been accused of getting involved in criminal activities in and around the camp areas.
