Keeping people without voting rights for too long will have dire consequences: Kader Siddiqui
"Sheikh Hasina's disgraceful downfall happened because she disrespected people's voting rights," said Kader Siddique
Kader Siddique, president of the Krishak Sramik Janata League, has warned that keeping people without voting rights for a long time will not end well for any government.
"People of this country want democracy and the right to vote. Sheikh Hasina's disgraceful downfall happened because she disrespected people's voting rights. For several consecutive elections, she did not allow people to vote freely," he said while speaking to the media after paying respects at the grave of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani in Tangail's Santosh, marking the leader's 48th death anniversary.
"Those currently in power will face similar consequences if this continues," Siddique added.
