4 killed as bus, pickup collide head-on in Tangail

Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup in Tangail's Madhupur in the early hours today (19 November).
The accident occurred on the regional road in the Malauri area of Madhupur municipal town, said Madhupur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emranul Kabir.
The victims included the pickup's driver, his assistant, and their two passengers. Their identities are yet to be confirmed.

Madhupur police Sub-Inspector Dulal Mia said the four were killed on the spot when a Dhaka-bound Binimoy Paribahan bus from Dhanbari collided with the pickup coming from the opposite direction.
The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families after the legal procedures, he added.
