Man held over death of 2 Bangladeshis in Kolkata
Parwez Arsalan, 22, was driving a Jaguar that killed the two Bangladeshi nationals.
Kolkata police has arrested the son of a popular restaurant chain owner after his speeding car ran over two Bangladeshi citizens who were taking shelter from rain at a traffic control booth.
Parwez Arsalan, 22, son of the owner of Arsalan restaurant chain, was driving a Jaguar that killed the two Bangladeshi nationals at the Shakespeare Sarani and Loudon Street crossing where the accident took place around 1.50 am on Saturday.
The two Bangladeshi nationals were rushed to the nearby Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research and Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital (IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital) where they were pronounced dead by duty doctors.

According to police, the speeding Jaguar collided head-on with an incoming Mercedes after which the Jaguar dashed into the traffic control booth losing control where three pedestrians, including the two Bangladeshi nationals, took shelter.
Drivers of both the vehicles suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Parwez Arsalan has been booked under Section 304 (culpable homicide), 279 (rash driving) and 427 (causing damage) of the Indian Penal Code.
The Jaguar has been seized by Kolkata police.
The deceased Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Farhana Islam Tania, 30, a resident of Dhaka, and Kazi Md Mainul Alam, 36, hailed from Jhenaidah.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata has also sought information about the accident from the Kolkata Police.
The bodies were brought to Bangladesh after the formalization of Petrapole and Benapole Immigration papers on August 18 at 10:30 pm.
