Markets, shopping malls to stay open till 9pm in Dhaka
The government has decided to allow the stores and shopping malls to remain open till 9 pm, instead of 5 pm in Dhaka city.
The decision was taken considering the hassles of those, who are fasting throughout the month of Ramadan.
Helal Uddin, president of Bangladesh Shop Owners' Association, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard today evening after talking with Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Shafiqul Islam.
Earlier on 23 April, the government decided to reopen all shopping malls, shops and markets across the country from 25 April (today) after 12-day closure. In a gazette notification, the Cabinet division said the decision was taken considering the livelihood of people.
